Plucking Ducks and Other Reasons For Insanity

My father's technique was simple; he would tear off as many feathers as he could with his fingers and then he would roll up a newspaper, swat the dog that was trying to grab the other ducks on the ground, flip open his Zippo lighter and light the end of the paper. Then he would go about singeing off the rest of the small pin feathers and any feathers he had missed in the burning flame.
