Hulu just released a number of new stats for 2012, including revenue. In 2012, Hulu will post $695 million in revenue, up 65 percent from last year. In a blog post, Hulu’s Jason Kilar writes that Hulu now has 3 million paying Hulu Plus subscribers and the number has more than doubled over the past year. The service can now be accessed from more than 320 million Internet-connected devices in the U.S. (not including laptop and desktop computers). The company says that it has grown Hulu and Hulu Plus title offerings by over 40 percent and now has more than 430 content partners, providing over 60,000 TV episodes, 2,300 TV series, and 50,000 hours of video. In 2012, Hulu invested more than $500 million in content. Since launch in 2007, Hulu has generated over $1 billion for content partners. In terms of advertising, Hulu has served more than 1,000 advertisers — 28 percent more than last year. Hulu Japan, which launched last year, has quadrupled content over the past year and is now accessible from more than 50 million Internet-connected devices in Japan (not counting laptops or desktop computers).
